Thank goodness Otto has completed the race safely. There have been fatalities and yachts wrecked due to the violent weather in other years. But we hadn’t expected the result.

What a remarkable achievement for the Cats’ Collective after years of trying. There has been fierce international competition among cat sailors, and it is wonderful to have a victory for the home crew of the Catastrophe. Otto says he will see us in Sydney for the fireworks on New Year’s Eve.
Mitzi is coming to Sydney with me and bringing her friend Saphira, who is active in the environmental movement, and also the dancing teacher who did such great work with the kittens. Saphira is travelling with some of her young dancers who will perform at a concert at the Cats’ Collective.
I think Otto is going to make postcards of the winning ceremony.
