I missed out on my usual Monday post. Well, it was only usual for two Mondays. Lynette told me she forgot! And she had been too busy doing other things. I have my work cut out for me attracting her attention sometimes. We had two neighbours visit, and I had to get some attention by leaping to the top of the kitchen door, twirling around and leaping even higher to the top of the kitchen cupboards. They looked up and pointed, completely distracted from their deep and meaningful human conversation.
Time for the real world, I thought. Let them know that other creatures share the planet. Not that other creatures share properly. They have no votes, and I thought it would be equal representation. Lynette told me that was equal representation for women! And I am not even female, let alone human. Meow!!! I would need to be one of the furless wonders before I had a say.
Here is one of my old cartoons, not even refreshed. Not much has changed, it seems. At least she has given up on styling my fur.

And this is my recent photo. Lynette found my usual fluffy scarf thrown right across the floor, so she thought I might like a change. She rummaged through my archived possessions and found these handspun and handknitted lambswool fleece pieces she knitted a long, long time ago. She was going to make a jumper, but ran out of something.
‘I knitted these for you, Sasha, long before you were born,’ she said.
I just stared at her.
