But there is food! So they won’t have to huddle around in the dark with empty stomachs. What a good idea it was to form the Mousecateers and do so much training beforehand. They have even brought a few comfortable rugs. Usually, Nero knows that cats living in the wild would make a nest from gathered materials to keep themselves warm and well insulated from the wind while sleeping at night. Of course, with all the advantages of civilisation and their human servants, these cats are pampered. They would never have had to fend for themselves.
The storm comes on again as they devour the crunchy treats. Sirin, Nero, Princess and Lucinda have worked up an appetite after the excitement of the hunt.
