This morning, the kittens are relaxing after their first performance. Saphira and Mitzi are attending an event organised especially for female passengers. The governess has her hands full, as so many staff are involved in the event that she has to look after the kittens and puppies of other passengers. To be helpful, I volunteer to take some of the younger kittens to the pet playground for a while.
The governess thanks me, but looks a bit doubtful. In the end, she agrees, but says her brother Nero, who is an apprentice crew member, will accompany me, and the two of us should be able to manage together.
After the kittens are worn out from dashing around, we sit down at one of the tables to do a jigsaw puzzle.

While the kittens are busy with the puzzle and other toys, Nero and I relax a bit more. With all the little ones rushing around, we had to keep on the alert the whole time. I congratulate Nero on his position and ask him if he is looking forward to the trip around Tasmania. He blinks at me as if he is confused.
‘When are we going to Tasmania?’ asks Nero. ‘Will it be after we return from Los Angeles?’
Well, I am now the one to be surprised.
Nero tells me he wants to visit Hollywood. His yellow eyes are wide open as he tells me about the cat celebrities he might see.
