I still feel like snoozing, although it is hot weather now, so I am in my summer room rather than coiled up in my main room in the house. Lynette starts to tell me a story about the Summer Palace in China where the Empress Dowager lived. Lynette visited there years ago. But she didn’t see the Empress, who had passed to the Rainbow Bridge.
After Lynette tells me about the Summer Palace I go into my summer room and fall asleep. In a dream I take some of the pets to Kunming Lake for a special dragon boat ride. Bear sees another boat on the shore, but when he jumps on the boat, it floats off. Little Roo and I hop on the dragon boat, which pursues the little boat across the lake and catches up with it. All the people on the dragon boat cheer and I reach over and grab Bear by the furs to help him scramble on board.
It was a short dream. I thought we might visit the cats that look after the treasures of the Palace Museum (Forbidden City) in Beijing, but we didn’t have time.
