I have managed to restore the posts by creating a new posts page to attach to the menu. The working area is still blank of all posts, but viewers can now read the blog. This post will also disappear into some region of WordPress. I hope they contact me soon to work this out.
I am worn out and Sasha is already asleep, curled up in one of his two places on the sofa.
