Was the movie based on the Shakespeare play, Sasha?
The 2006 movie by Kenneth Brannagh was set in a colony of European traders in 19th Century Japan. But it was shot in England. I had to ask Lynettea to find these details for me. We have only watched the first part, so far. I leaped down, spoiling the cinema effect.
That should be Kenneth Branagh.
