We had a short but very noisy thunderstorm. I sat near her so she could hold me and feel safe.

Of course I wasn't scared. My name Alexander means Defender of Men. Sasha is the diminutive used in Russian for Alexander. Sometimes I think I should make her use my whole name, as it would be more dignified. But she soon reverts to Sasha. I think she finds it less intimidating.
