Lynettea just brought in a quince that had fallen from the tree. I sniffed at it and discovered it was nibbled by a rat. I wonder if she knows this? She has cooked some of the quinces.

We would walk away and pretend we never saw anything!

Lynettea boils the quinces and then freezes them. She doesn't put in sugar and she doesn't roat them so they go red. She says they are delicious. Humans eat strange foods. Our quince tree shades my play area in summer.

We have seen quince trees, but never eaten the fruit before. Sasha, did you let Lynettea know that the rats have been nibbling on them?

She can see the nibbles, but she didn't realize they have been rubbing their smelly bodies on the quince skins and leaves until she saw me smell detecting.
